Probably known best for his frequent use of all lower-case letters, E. E. Cummings was an American poet, painter and essayist.
He wrote over 900 poems making himself a most prominent poet of the early 20th century. Some of his poems are free verse, while others have a sonnet style. Many of his poems, though have a visual appeal because of his use of both caps and lower-case letters as well as punctuation which seems to be misplaced until you read and study the poem.
E. E. Cummings enduring his share of hardship which no doubt influenced his poetry. His father was killed in a tragic auto accident. Cummings spent over three months in a military detention camp for espionage, apparently because of his views on the war.
Well-traveled, well-known and well-respected in the art and literature world, E. E. Cummings' work is deviantly refreshing.

John Keatsi like my body when it is with your
body. It is so quite new a thing.
Muscles better and nerves more.
i like your body. i like what it does,
i like its hows. i like to feel the spine
of your body and its bones, and the trembling
-firm-smooth ness and which i will
again and again and again
kiss, i like kissing this and that of you,
i like,slowly stroking the,shocking fuzz
of your electric fur,and what-is-it comes
over parting flesh....And eyes big love-crumbs,
and possibly i like the thrill
of under me you so quite new
